CH01- Rubellite (Elbaite). Malkhan Pegmatitic Field, Krasnyi Chikoy, Chitinskaya Oblast, Transbaikal, Eastern Siberia, Russia.

Very well formed prismatic crystal of Elbaite, variety Rubellite, with the flat pinacoidal and pyramidal faces. It is between translucent to transparent and very bright, with an exceptionally intense and deep purplish-red color and with nice striations. Very good Russian Rubellite specimen in perfect condition, no damage. The crystal weighs 39 grams.
