CG19- Galena with Pyrite. Huanzala Mine, Huanzala, Huallanca District, Bolognesi Province, Ancash, Peru
New find in May 2025. Another excellent and aesthetic combo specimen from the famous Huanzalá mine. The Pyrite-Galena specimens from Huanzalá are well known to mineral collectors worldwide. They stand out for their brilliance and richness of crystallographic forms. In this piece we suggest, the Galena crystals show a very high brilliance with metallic gray color and forms of cube and octahedron. The Pyrite crystals show octahedron faces with cube modifications and with an excellent goldtone, high luster and are part of a very aesthetic combo along with Galena. This specimen offers a good balanced aesthetics with an exceptional brightness.
Specimen size: 8 cm x 6.5 cm
