CG20- Galena with Pyrite. Huanzala Mine, Huanzala, Huallanca District, Bolognesi Province, Ancash, Peru
New find in May 2025. The Pyrite-Galena specimens from Huanzalá are well known to mineral collectors worldwide. They stand out for their brilliance and richness of crystallographic forms. In this piece we suggest, the Galena crystals show a very high brilliance with metallic gray color and forms of cube and octahedron, highlighting some crystals with the spinel law twin. The Pyrite crystals show octahedron faces and an excellent goldtone, with high luster and are part of a very aesthetic combo along with Galena. This specimen offers a good balanced aesthetics with an exceptional brightness. In excellent condition.
